Palma Ristorante is seeking a polished, professional, and hospitality-driven Host / Hostess to join our front-of-house team.
Located in the heart of Downtown Burbank, Palma Ristorante is an upscale Italian restaurant known for exceptional service, an energetic atmosphere, and memorable dining experiences.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and understands that the host sets the tone for every guest’s experience.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and greet guests with warmth and professionalism.
- Manage reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists efficiently using OpenTable.
- Coordinate seating to ensure a smooth and organized dining room flow.
- Answer phone calls and assist guests with reservations and general inquiries.
- Maintain a clean, organized, polished, and inviting host stand.
- Communicate effectively with management and the front-of-house team.
- Assist with private dining events and special occasions when needed.
- Deliver outstanding hospitality and create a positive first impression for every guest.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant host or customer service experience preferred.
- Experience with OpenTable or a similar reservation system is a plus.
- Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
- Friendly, outgoing, polished, and professional demeanor.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-energy, fast-paced restaurant environment.
Availability Requirements
- Applicants must be available for dinner shifts beginning at 4:00 PM or later.
- Weekend availability is required, including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
- Flexibility to work holidays and special events is highly preferred.
